Two non-food posts in a row, I know, I'm sorry. Anyway, I'm a little behind the curve on this, but in December, [France stuck Apple's exclusive arrangement with Orange Telecom up Steve Jobs' ass](http://www.engadget.com/2008/12/17/oranges-iphone-exclusive-ruled-illegal-in-france/). I've been toying with the idea of going mac, lately, for a lot of reasons, but I have to say one of the things that's left a weird taste in my mouth about them as a company is this whole exclusivity thing (which of course is **bullshit**). Go France.

The primary tenets of Fishosophy, after all, are POPULISM, ACCESS and OPENNESS.

I watched Crash tonight for the first time. It's official: Brokeback Mountain lost because it was about us. I guess I was naive.

Good Night and Good Luck was in the same league, but I don't think anyone would have called it better than BM. Crash, however, was a perfectly fine movie which in no way deserved an oscar.

I'm glad we've put the 2006 academy awards to bed at OF.

According to the [New York Times](http://dinersjournal.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/01/29/italian-town-bans-non-italian-food/), Lucca, Italy has banned non-Italian restaurants from the historic city center.

Personally, I'm for it. Although I understand both sides, Lucca doesn't have much industry, and if the walled old city were to look like Cleveland, tourism may go the way of the Yugo.
